Leprechaun's Brew

Anyway I can find to celebrate the holiday, especially if it's yummy...I'll do it!
Alexis loves "milkshakes" and is so excited about the leprechauns coming to visit her, so today I made her (and me!) some "Leprechaun's Brew" (my catchy little name for it).



I've seen recently, green drink recipes are pretty much a dime a dozen on the internet this time of year, so I tweaked around with some ingredients and made our own, I hope you LOVE this one, because we did and it was SUPER easy (and fairly healthy/non-fattening too, which is a plus). I liked it because it was nice and creamy like a shake, but fresh and fruity too. Perfect!

You'll Need:
Blender, Cups
Non-fat Lime Sherbet
1-2 bananas
Splash of milk
about 6-8 ice cubes
a little green food coloring
Whipped cream, sprinkles, marshmallows optional - but delicious


I used roughly 3 medium-large scoops of the lime sherbet


I used almost 2 whole bananas, roughly sliced (they're getting blended anyway!)
Add a splash of milk. I can't give a measurement because 1. I don't usually use them in any type of cooking I do, and 2. I literally tipped the carton over and let it splash out. Probably a little under 1/4c for those who need a measurement, but it's best to eyeball. The milk is to give it a little more of a smooth, drinkable texture.
The same goes for the ice. I added about 6 cubes. The bananas actually weren't blending very well until I added the ice, then it magically all came together.


Blend on medium-high speed for 1-2 minutes until it's nice and creamy with no ice or banana chunks left.



These "measurements" made these two glasses full. You can make a little more if you need, just up the ingredients.
Top with whipped cream, marshmallows, and green sprinkles if you want, but I don't know why you wouldn't ;)



Yes, Alexis and I drank them both. All of them. They were great :)
